ETIQUETTE: how can I build a better relationship with my neighbors, even when they are being selfish?

by Karen Fields

How can I help my neighbors overcome their resentment toward me?
The kid’s been dead for over two years and they STILL shun me.
I don’t harbor a grudge over them letting their kid run into the street. Plus, I paid for all the damage to the car myself. They didn’t even offer, but I let that slide.

explain that it does no good to hold a grudge, that even accidents like these may seem unforgivable, but all that can be done is act compassionately.

Hi, i’m really sorry about what you went through, it must be so hard.
just write them a nice letter and say that u feel sorry and say "what can i do to make the situation better? i never meant to hurt you".

send them gestures like cookies and look out for the neighborhood.
do everything you can anyway because at the end of the day (excuse my beliefs) its between you and God, if they cannot forgive you….they will also have to work on themselves. but make sure you keep being the better person. you can also ask them the same question and say "how can i build a better relationship with you?"

seriously! if they don’t accept, don’t worry, you tried.
